FENI: A 22-killomiter traffic gridlock on the Dhaka-Chittagong highway was gradually easing on Thursday afternoon.

The tailback was created around 7:00am that pushed thousands of passengers into serious sufferings which started to ease from 4:00pm.

Officer-in-Charge of Feni Mahipal Police Outpost ASM Jahangir Alam confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Sources said this gridlock was created as the construction work for four-lane project on the highway is underway and for upcoming weekend.

Abdullah Al Faisal, a passenger of the route, said “I set off for Chittagong 6 hours earlier and have stuck in the jam. I don’t know when the jam would remove.”
