MANIKGANJ: At least two people were killed when a bus plunged into a roadside ditch on Dhaka-Aricha highway in Muljan area of Sadar upazila of the district on Friday morning.

Details of the deceased could not be known immediately.

Golra highway police sergeant Mehedi Hasan confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Mehedi said, “A Dhaka-bound passenger bus of Padma Line, coming from Aricha, fell into a roadside ditch in the area around 1045am as its driver lost control over the steering, leaving two people dead on the spot.”

Police rushed to the spot, the sergeant added.
