DHAKA: A man was killed and four others were injured when a recklessly running car hit a standing police van in Mohakhali area in the city early Friday.
Details of the deceased could not be known immediately while the injured were an on-duty policeman Abul Hossain, two Ansar members – and one of the car passengers.
The accident took place when a private car (Dhaka Metro Ga 29-0350) rammed into the police van in the area at 12:30am, leaving one dead on the spot and four others injured.
The injured were admitted to a nearby Ayesha Memorial Hospital. One of them is in critical condition.
