KUSHTIA: A gang of muggers snatched a battery-run auto rickshaw and slaughtered its driver in Barkhada area under Sadar upazila of the district on Friday morning.
The deceased was identified as Rana, 25, son of Yaar Ali, resident of the area.
Family sources said that Rana went out of home with his vehicle on Thursday night and later his slaughtered body was found in the area in the morning.
On information, police recovered the body and sent to Kushtia General Hospital morgue for autopsy.
Officer-in-Charge of Kushtia Model Thana Abdul Khalek confirmed the matter to banglanews.
