DHAKA: Three-day conference of the Federation of Bangladeshi Associations in North America, widely called as FOBANA, will be held in New York from August 29.

FOBANA informed media at a press conference held in National Press Club in city on Sunday.

Speakers at the conference placed some demands to the government.

Their demands include voting rights for the expatriates and a seat in the Parliament for them.

Besides, they demanded to keep Dhaka-New York flights continued.

FOBANA Bangladesh Convention president Atikur R J Yousuf Zai, its convener Hasanuzzaman, Awlad Hossian Khan, Dr Jasim Uddin Ahmed and Mustafa Kamal Majumdar, among others, spoke at the press conference.
