BHOLA: Two minors drowned in ebb tide at Sakuchia and Hajirhat unions under Monpura upazila of the district on Tuesday.

The deceased were identified as Mizan, 6, son of a Mahe Alam resident of Sakuchia union and Omar, 3, son of a Yusuf Majhi of Hajirhat union of the upazila.

Locals said that ebb tide flooded Shakuchia Union in the morning where Mizan drowned in their own home.

On the other hand, Omar drowned in the high-tide at Hajirhat union in the afternoon.

Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) of Monpura Abdullah Al Baki confirmed the matter to banglanews.
