DHAKA: Coming down from Rangapravath, she shook hands with few, hugged some, exchanged pleasantries, and went ahead with a smile on face. She took pictures with children one after another, women around her also got involved in it. She queried about health of aged people, and asked them about the plane journey.

On Wednesday afternoon, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina was traveling by 777 Boeing of BG 016 airplane, headed to Bangladesh from London. The craft was fully packed by passengers, occupying all the 419 seats. Sixty three passengers accompanied Sheikh Hasina in her London visit were also in the return flight.

It left Heathrow runway at 6:30pm in London time. It was an easy and simple soaring.  When cockpit alarm rang to remove seat belts and passengers started moving a little, Sheikh Hasina entered the business class from her economy class, and went forward along row from the left side.

Except the members of the PM’s visiting team, surely no other passengers knew about her presence in the craft. Her entry in the business class left others astonished, but Sheikh Hasina was usual with her smiling face.

Kids seemed smarter. They ran towards her with cell phones to take photos, and considerably many of them continued. She interacted with all the passengers by her sides, and the photo sessions went longer. At the end, she strolled along the right row. The children felt very excited, and posed for a lot of pictures with Sheikh Hasina.

The premier went on without body guards by her side, and no protocol, on protection, no restrictions existed. She interacted with everybody very cordially.

Foreign ministry chief of protocol Asad Alam Siam was seen observing the situation from a distance. PM’s special assistant Mahbubul Haque Shakil was also seen at a distance. He told banglanews that whenever Shiekh Hasina gets an opportunity to interact with common people, she does. Wednesday evening was such an opportunity to her, he added.

The flight was packed with passengers. She did not miss this chance to communicate with them, said Mahbubul Haque Shakil.

Moreover, four modern and luxurious aircrafts of Boeing 777 got added to Bangladesh national career. BG 016 was one of them. It is named as ‘Rangapravat’.

Sheikh Hasina named this craft herself, as mentioned by Shakil to media on Wednesday noon. While talking to the reporters in the meeting room of London Hotel Hilton, regarding the naming of the craft Hasina said that all these airplanes were bought for the passengers to travel comfortably and without hurdles. The modernization and service facilities of these crafts can be compared with any international flights, the PM said proudly.

In the afternoon, the prime minister expressed her pleasure while returning home in a fully packed craft of the new fleet from London.

The journey of Wednesday was easy and comfortable. The Rangapravat took off from London Heathrow airport at 11:30pm (Bangladesh time) and landed in Bangladesh around 9:30am.
