Road crashes kill 4 in Pabna, Magura

DHAKA: Four people were killed and 36 other injured in separate road crashes in two districts between Friday night and Saturday morning. 

Banglanews Magura correspondent reports: Two people were killed and six others injured in a head-on-collision between a truck and pick-up van in Kachundi area of the district on Saturday morning.

The identity of the deceased could not be known immediately.

Sources said that the accident took place around 7:00am, leaving one dead on the spot and injured five others.

Later, injured were rushed to Magura Sadar Hospital where another succumbed to his injuries.

Magura Sadar Hospital Doctor Saiduzzaman Munna confirmed the matter to banglanews.

In PABNA, two people were killed and 30 others injured in a head-on-collision between a passenger bus and a truck in Dharmagram area under Sadar Upazila of the district on Friday night.

Local sources said that a passenger bus named Pabna Express collided head-on with a truck in the area around 8:30am, leaving two passengers dead on the spot and injured 30 others.

Confirming the matter Ataikula Thana Officer-in-Charge Faizul Islam told banglanews, “The injured were sent to Pabna Medical College Hospital.”
