CHANDINA (COMILLA): At least three people were killed in a road accident on Dhaka-Chittagong highway at Chandina upazila of the district on Sunday afternoon.

The identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.

Officer-in-Charge of Chandina Thana Golam Morshed told banglanews that a passenger bus of Hanif Paribahan plunged into a roadside ditch after colliding with a pick-up in Harikhola area of the upazila, leaving three people dead on the spot.

Police, with the help of local people, are conducting the rescue work, he added.
