RANGPUR: Two passers-by were killed in a road accident on Dhaka-Rangpur highway in the district on Monday afternoon.

The deceased were identified as Rakib, 17 and Monira Begum, 25.

Local people said a rashly driven passenger bus knocked the two on Dhaka-Rangpur highway, leaving them injured critically.

They were rushed to a local hospital where on duty doctor declared them dead.

Sub-Inspector of Highway police Abdul Gani confirmed the matter to banglanews.
