DHAKA: US Ambassador-at-Large for the Office of Global Criminal Justice, Stephen J. Rapp, reached Dhaka on Monday morning on a 3-day visit.
It is the fifth visit of him after beginning of the war crimes trial.
He will monitor the procedures of war crime trial and also join a round of meetings with stakeholders related to the trials.
Stephen will meet with law minister Anisul Haq on Tuesday. He will also hold meetings with Foreign Minister Abul Hassan Mahmood Ali and its secretaries.
The envoy will say his opinion about the current trial of international crimes tribunal in a view exchange meeting with the journalist on the same day.
Earlier, he expressed his satisfaction about the verdict of ICT, but he called for consideration of the convicts’ age.
