BENAPOLE, JESSORE: Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) personnel on Saturday night detained 22 Bangladesh nationals, including men and women while crossing Benapole frontier illegally.

The detainees are- Srikanta Pramanik, 70, Shankar Biswas, 34, Santosh Biswas, 45, Polash Kanti, 18, Bitus Kanti Roy, 24, Subrata Biswas, 23, Salauddin, 32, Nibha Roy, 70, Eliaj Khan, 50, Foysal Khan, 18, Usha Ratri, 60, Shibu Biwas, 24, Gita Biswas, 30, Uttam, 28, Sonjibon, 25, sefali, 55, Basudeb, 48, Biplob, 39, Noyon, 16, Jahidul, 30, Soma Bibi, 20 and Fatema,1.

The detainees hailed from various villages of Gopalganj, Barisal, Madaripur and Narail districts. 

Confirming the matter, Benapole Port Thana Sub-Inspector Ashraful Islam told banglanews, “The detainees will be produced before Jessore court on Sunday noon.”
