CHANDPUR: A mother along with her three-month old girl was killed in a road accident on Chandpur-Comilla highway in Ghosherhat area under Sadar upazila of the district on Sunday.
Of the deceased, one was identified as Tahmina Begum, 22, wife of Shahid Ullah of Fulchhoa village of Hajiganj upazila.
M Abdul Kaiyum, Officer-in-Charge of Chandpur Model Thana, confirmed the matter to banglanews.
Sources said that a Chandpur-bound auto-rickshaw collided head on with a Comilla-bound pickup van in the area around 4:00 pm, leaving four people injured.
Locals rushed them to the Chandpur General Hospital where on duty doctors declared Tahmina and her daughter dead.
