DHAKA: The Bangladesh government has decided to take necessary initiative to save Gaza and protect the rights of Palestinians through diplomatic means.

The decision came from a regular cabinet meeting in the secretariat on Monday with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the chair.

In the meeting, the foreign affairs ministry was asked to take necessary measures in this regard.

After the meeting, cabinet secretary M Mosharraf Hossain Bhuiyan briefed journalists.

The cabinet raised their voices protesting the indiscriminate killing of innocent Palestinians as Israel conducted air and ground strikes on Gaza strip.
