SUNAMGANJ: At least 11 people, including Officer-in-Charge Chhatak thana, were injured in a gunfight with robbers in Bhanga Bridge area under Chhatak Upazila of the district early Wednesday.

The identity of all injured but Office-in-Charge Shahjalal Munshi could not be known immediately.

Sources said that the incident took place in the around 3:00am. Meanwhile, police seized a pipe gun, three rounds bullets, six cocktails and six lethal weapons from the spot.

Confirming the matter, Sunamganj Police Super Harun-or-Rahshid told banglanews, “The injured were sent to Chhatak Upazila Health Complex.”
