DHAKA: Prime Minster Sheikh Hasina’s son Sajeeb Wazed Joy said Awami League men  “should be allowed to respond” to BNP’s claim over Khaleda Zia’s ‘fake birthday’ on National Mourning Day.

Joy, in a status on his Facebook on Thursday night, said, “Today (Thursday) the BNP stated that they are forced to celebrate Khaleda’s fake birthday on the day the Father of the Nation and his entire family was brutally murdered.”

“Is this really their logic?,” he questioned.

Joy went saying “They (BNP) have absolutely no shame, character or morals. This is a party of people without any humanity or scruples.”

He also raised questions saying, “Why should we have to sit idly by while they insult the Father of the Nation and indeed the entire nation on our National Mourning Day? Why should my family and I have to take this repeated insult and hurt year after year? At what point are we allowed to respond?”

Joy requested to the people concerned to allow them to respond to BNP’s activities saying, “If they are forced to do such heinous things because of statements by the Awami League, then by the same measure we should be allowed to respond in kind.”
