DHAKA: Custom intelligence officials held one person and seized 13 gold bars weighing around 1.5 kilograms at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in city on Sunday.

The detainee is identified as Zakir, passport number F1266739. He came from Riyadh by a flight of SV-808. 

Sources said a team of custom officials conducted a drive in the airport around 2:30pm on the day and after a search they found the gold bars hidden in his pockets.

Custom intelligence Director General Moinul Khan confirmed the matter to banglanews.
