HILI, DINAJPUR: Indian Border Security Force (BSF) returned 11 Bangladesh nationals, including women and children, to Border Guard Bangladesh through Hili border post early Monday.

They were detained by BSF on accusation of intrusion into India.

India’s Hili BSF camp commander Jafrullah Khan handed over the detainees to Bangladesh’s Hili check post camp commander Nayek Subeder Abdul Hamid around 12:30pm.

Confirming the matter, Abdul Hamid said the Bangladesh nationals have been returned by BSF to keep warm friendly relation with neighbouring country.

Later, the detainees were handed over to the Hakimpur Thana on Monday.
