BRAHMANBARIA: The rail communications of Chittagong with Dhaka and Sylhet were halted for two hours as the last two compartments of Subarna Express were disconnected from the train here on Monday.

Confirming the matter to banglanews, Akhaura railway junction cabin master Jasim Uddin told banglanews the mechanics connected the compartments after bringing them back to the junction.

Earlier, two compartments of the Dhaka-bound Subarna Express were disconnected from the train and stopped after half a kilometer between Kasba rail station of Brahmanbaria district and Salda Nadi rail station of Comilla district around 6:00 pm.

Later, the rail communication resumed from 8:30pm, he added.

Akhaura Railway Thana Officer-in-Charge (OC) Nurul Amin confirmed the matter to banglanews.

No one was reportedly injured in this incident, he added.
