DHAKA: The third session of 10th National Parliament will began on September 1. The session can continue from seven to 15 working days.
Nine bills are expected to be tabled in the parliament during the session.
The bill includes High-Tech Park Authority (amendment) bill, DNA bill and three separate bills on Rangamati, Bandarban and Khagrachhari hill district councils (amendment).
National Parliament Secretariat sources said that this session has been called for a short period. Some bills are expected to be placed during the session.
Regarding the upcoming 3rd session, National Parliament chief whip ASM Firoz told banglanews over cell phone that the president summoned the third session to comply with the constitutional obligation of not stretching the gap between two sessions beyond 60 days.
This session will last for a shorter period, he added.
The session will hope to pass some bills. Besides, some bills are needed to be sent to the parliamentary committees, the chief whip added.
According to him, national and international issues regarding public interest may also be discussed during the session.
Earlier, its first session was held in February while the second session (budget session) in June. The last session was prorogued on July 3.
