NARAYANGANJ: Two persons, including a woman, were killed and 13 others injured in a road accident in Purinda Bazar area under Araihazar upazila of the district on Friday noon.

The identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.

Police sources said that a rashly driven passenger bus collided head-on with a human hauler on Dhaka-Sylhet highway in the area around 12:45pm, leaving a man dead on the spot and 14 others injured critically.

Another woman succumbed to her injuries on the way to hospital.

Six of the injured were rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital and others to local hospitals.

Officer-in-Charge of Kanchpur Highway Thana Sohel Imtiaz confirmed the matter to banglanews.
