SATKHIRA: Indian Border Security Force (BSF) chopped a Bangladeshi cowboy to death near Koijuri camp of India, opposite to Boikery border under sadar upazila of the district, early Sunday.

The deceased was identified as Ahad Ali, son of Ujir Ali of Chhoyghoria village of the upazila.

Quoting locals, Jhaudanga UP chairman Rafiqul Isalm said BSF members nabbed Ahad Ali while he was returning home from India with cattle and later beat and chopped him, leaving him dead on the spot.

When contacted, Border Guard Bangladesh Satkhira-38 battalion acting Commander Major Bakshi said being informed, they are looking into the matter.
