DHAKA: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Tuesday asked the chief of Defence Intelligence of Asia-Pacific region to work jointly to prevent the threat of terrorism.
She came up with the urge after inaugurating the 7th International Conference of Chief of Defence Intelligence of Asia-Pacific region in a city hotel in the morning.
Sheikh Hasina said, “No country can prevent the varied threats alone that the world is facing now. We need to work jointly and help each other to prevent these threats.”
The premier also urged to break the walls of distance through mutual understanding.
She added, “Terrorists have no boundary. They are enemies of the country, world and humanity. They also are threat to world peace.”
“Bangladesh can never be a sanctuary of foreign extremists. Our government has been taking actions in this regard,” she added.
The premier also ensured Bangladesh’s position against terrorism.
Chiefs of defence Intelligence from 27 countries joined the seminar.
