DHAKA: The High Court summoned Nasir Uddin Nasu, owner of Bashumati Housing Project and managing director, Hirajheel Property Development Company Ltd.
Single bench of Justice Rezaul Hasan passed the order on Monday.
The court asked him to appear before it at 10:30am on September 8.
The court also issued a rule to explain by September 8 why financial punishment and imprisonment should not be awarded to him for contempt of court.
Bashumati owner Nasu was summoned as he violated the court’s order that asked him to submit the names of the persons who got allotment of plots in Bashumati project.
Other shareholder directors including Syed Sohrawardy and Syed Jalal, younger brothers of Nasu, filed an application with the court, seeking to wind up Hirajheel Property Development Company Ltd.
Taking the appeal into cognizance, the court issued a notice upon Nasu and other respondents on July 2. The court also asked for a list of the persons who bought plots in the Bashumati Housing Project by July 23.
