Road mishaps kill 2 in Ashulia

ASHULIA (DHAKA): Two people died in separate road accidents in Nabinagar and Tongibari areas of Ashulia on Saturday.

The deceased were identified as Babu, 22, son Ashraf Hossain of Tongibari, and Khitish Chandra, 40, son of late Monmohon of Dendabor area.

Police said a passenger bus ran over a rickshaw on Bypail-Abdullahpur roads in front of Madbar bari of Tongibari area on the morning, leaving a rickshaw passenger dead on the spot and two others injured.

Local rushed the injured to Ashulia Woman and Child Health Complex Center.

Police, quoting family members, a bus ran over Khitish in Nabinagar area at 9:00am, leaving him killed on the spot. 

He went there to buy flower.

Police recovered the bodies and sent those to Dhaka Medical College morgue.

Police filed cases and none was arrested in this connection.
