CHITTAGONG: Law department students of Begum Gul Chemonara (BGC) Trust University blocked Chittagong-Cox’s Bazar highway demanding permission to sit in advocateship registration examination.

The 1.30-hour-long blockade at Biddyanagar area in Chandanysh started from 10:45am Monday creating long queue of vehicles on the highway.

Second officer Humayn Kabir Mridha of Chandanaish police station said police removed the protester from the road and made easy the plying.

Sources said that the students started their admission procedure in BGC trust City branch which is being run illegally. The students of this branch would not be allowed to sit in the examination.
