RIYADH: Approximately 1 crore Bangladeshis are staying in different countries across the world. Their earnings are running the lives of some 6 crores family members inside the country.
For the expatriates, Bangladesh is going forward today and the country’s economy is becoming dynamic. For this reason, government is relentlessly working to educate the expatriate’s children.
Bangladesh ambassador to Saudi Arabia Mohammed Shahidul Islam made the remark at a program at the premises of Bangladesh International School & College in Riyadh on Thursday afternoon.
The event was organized to hand over the key of a new brand 32-seat bus from the expatriate welfare and oversees employment ministry to the institution authorities.
Shahidul Islam said, “People of Bangladesh are born-meritorious. We know it and people from different countries also admit it. Bangladesh government is working to flourish their merits.”
The ambassador urged all to keep the academic institutions out of politics and work together for creating the congenial academic environment.
Presided over by school managing council chairman Dr Zakiul Hasan, Badrul Alam, principal of the school, Brigadier Fakhrul Islam, defense attaché of Bangladesh embassy, Mohhamd Ayub, deputy-head of the mission, councilor Mosarrof Hossain, among others, were present.
Teachers, students and the guardians took part in the event.
