ACC summons ex-minister Alamgir Kabir

DHAKA: The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) summoned former state minister for Housing and Public Works ministry Alamgir Kabir in BNP led government’s tenure.

ACC deputy director and also investigation officer Jatan Kumar Roy issued the letter on Sunday afternoon.

He said Alamgir Kabir, including National Housing Authority (land and asset management) members M Azharul Haque, Mansur Alam and Matiar Rahman were asked to appear at the ACC office on September 21.

ACC will also interrogate another 15 people on September 22 and 23.

The statement said Alamgir allocated a government land piece to Dhaka Sangbadik Union Samabai Samity Limited while he was in the power that made the government Tk 15.52 lakh loss.

On March 3, the ACC filed a case against the aforesaid four people.
