DHAKA: International Crimes Tribunal-2 asked the jail authorities to produce Mohidur Rahman and Afsar Hossain, two war crimes suspect of Chapainawabganj, before it on September 23.

Earlier on September 15, police arrested Mahidur Rahman, 80, of Dadanchak village and Afsar Hossain, 75, of Satrosia village in Shibganj upazila of the district.

Later, a district court sent them to jail as accused of case in bomb attack at Shibganj Shaheed Minar.

The three-member tribunal led-by its chairman Justice Obaidul Hasan passed the order in response to a petition filed by the prosecutors seeking its directives to show the duo arrested in a war crimes case.

In the petition, prosecutor Shahidur Rahman sought the court order asking jail authorities to produce them before it.
