DHAKA: A young girl was found dead at a house in Fakirapool area of the capital on Sunday.

The deceased was identified as Sabina Akhter, 18.

Sources said the girl, used to live at a mess at Garampani lane, was found hanging.

Her messmates said Sabina committed suicide though the reason behind the suicide could not be known.

Motijheel Thana Sub-Inspector (SI) Almas Mia said injury marks were found at the deceased’s throat.

“The matter will be cleared after autopsy,” he added.
