DHAKA: The Dhaka Cyber Tribunal on Wednesday denied bail to Bengali ‘Daily Inqilab’ news editor Rabiullah Robi in a case under the Information and Communication Technology Act.

Judge KM Shamsul Haque passed the order after the hearing of bail petition.

On January 16, police arrested the Inqilab journalists, seized various items and sealed off its printing press by conducting a raid on its RK Mission Road office in city.       

The raid was conducted after a case was filed under the ICT act for attacking religious sentiment, creating chaos in administration and violating ICT act.

Two other journalists-- deputy chief reporter Rafiq Mohammad and diplomatic correspondent Atiqur Rahman—are also accused in the case.
