CHITTAGONG: Chittagong University authority Wednesday suspended its five students, who are Chhatra Shibir activists, over recent bomb attack on teachers bus that left 16 injured.
The decision came from the 495th syndicate meeting.
The syndicate also decided to issue a notice asking why the authority would not expel them for good.
Vice Chancellor of the university Anwarul Azim confirmed the matter to banglanews.
At least 16 people, including nine teachers, of the university sustained injuries in bomb attacks by Islami Chhatra Shibir, student wing of Jamaat-e-Islami, on two buses carrying the varsity’s teachers on September 10.
