PM returns home

SYLHET: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina arrived home on Thursday morning after wrapping up her ten-day USA and UK tour. 

The aircraft carrying the PM and her entourage landed at Sylhet Osmani International Airport at 9.00am.

Confirming the matter, Sylhet Osmani Airport Manager Hafiz Uddin said that the aircraft will fly for Shahjalal International Airport after one hour travel break at Sylhet. 

Awami League Central Organizing Secretary Misbah Uddin Siran, District Awami League president Abduz Jahir Chowdhury Sufian, General Secretary Shafikur Rahman Chowdhury are set to meet the Prime Minister at VIP lounge of the airport. 

For PM’s one-hour break at Sylhet, additional security measures have been taken at the airport and surrounding areas. 

Earlier, a flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines (BG-061) carrying the Prime Minister left London Heathrow Airport for home at 6:50pm Wednesday.

Newly appointed Bangladesh High Commissioner to UK M Abdul Hannan, Deputy High Commissioner Khandaker M Talha, president of UK unit Awami League Sultan Sharif, Vice-president Jalal Uddin, general secretary Syed Faruq among others, saw off the Premier at Heathrow Airport.
