4 more cases against Latif Siddique

DHAKA: Four more cases were filed against post, telecommunications and information technology minister Latif Siddique on Thursday morning for his derogatory remarks that demeaned hajj.

Jananetri Parisad president AB Siddique, Advocate Shah Alam and Nazimuddin Badal and anther person filed the cases under section 295 (A) of panel code with the Dhaka Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) court.

Earlier, a Dhaka court on Wednesday summoned Latif Siddique in two cases for his derogatory remarks that demeaned hajj.

The CMM court asked the minister to appear before the court on October 28 in the case filed by the Supreme Court’s senior lawyer KMM Abed Raza.

Latif Siddique is also asked to appear before the court on October 30 in a case filed by plaintiff Alhajj Mohammad Badal.
