‘Agyan Party’ dopes 18 cattle traders

CHITTAGING: Some 18 cattle traders had fallen prey of ‘Aggyan Party’ in Katgarh Bazar area in Patenga Thana of the port city.

The victims were rescued from in unconscious condition and latter, admitted to Chittagong Medical College Hospital.

The traders are Mohammad Mojibul, Abdul Khaleque, Sirajul Islam, Sobhan, Abdul Qaiyyum, Zahidul, Mohammad Sirajul, Zamirul, Hafizul, Shahidul, Reyamil, Mohammad Asad, Babar Ali, Ziaul, Islam, Raju, Kabir Ahmed and Azim.

With the reference of witnesses, Chittagong Medical Hospital assistant sub-inspector (ASI) Pankaj Barua said that the victims became unconscious after having boiled eggs at a cattle market at night.

Later, the other traders rescued them and admitted them at the hospital at 12:15am.

The traders, mostly came from Rajshahi region, are taking medical treatment at the wards of 13, 14 and 16 numbers, the ASI added.

Patenga Thana Sub-Inspector (SI) Quamrul Islam said fortunately the victims did not lose either money or the cattle.

But he could not confirm whether the traders fell sick after having foods or fell prey of ‘Agyan Party’.
