DHAKA: The ruling-power of the country was in the hands of Razakars, Al Badr and Al Shams men till 1996 after the murder of Bangabandhu and his family members on August 15, 1975.

They (the then rulers) termed Awami league as a party with lower ideology and the freedom fighter were portrayed as bank robbers. They also deterred the countrymen from knowing the true history of the country.

The speakers made the assertions while unveiling a songs’ CD, ‘Daibadhota’, dedicated to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and his family members, at the VIP Lounge of the National Press Club on Friday.

Sayed Mahbubur Rahman presided over the function where former justice M Shamsul Huda, former justice Mamtaz Uddin Ahmed, also chairman of Bangladesh Press Council, and lyricist and composer of the CD Golam Rabbani Khan Moon were present.

Justice Shamsul Huda said some rumors are saying Hasina will face the fate of her father. We will counter-attack taking people with us if anything happens to Hasina ever.

Criticizing former president of Sectors Commanders Forum AK Khandakar and Post, Telecommunications and Information Technology Minister Abdul Latif Siddique, Huda said Hasina should be alert about the enemies in guise of friends.

Recently, two of the enemies’ identities were unveiled, he added.

Lyricist and Composer Golam Rabbani Moon highlighted the context of the songs.
