SATKHIRA: A woman has killed her husband while sleeping over extra marital affair at Sarafpur village under Ashashuni upazila of the district Friday evening.

The deceased was identified as Zakir Hossain, 25, son of one Zahir Uddin, resident of the area.

Local UP member Alamgir Hossain said Zakir’s wife Mehrun Nesa had an extra marital affair with another person.

However, Mehrun Nesa chopped her husband mercilessly at their house while he was sleeping in the evening, leaving him dead on the spot.

Police held Mehrun Nesa in this connection.

Officer-in-Charge (investigation) of Ashashuni Thana Tariqul Islam confirmed the matter to banglanews.
