FROM CENTRAL SHAHEED MINAR: The body of Language Movement hero Abdul Matin has been handed over to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) for medical research.

Matin’s wife Gulbadan Nesa Manika handed over the corpse to the vice-principal of the DMC at 1:45pm on Thursday.

Earlier on the day, Matin’s corpse was taken from the mortuary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) to the Central Shaheed Minar premises to pay homage to him.

The Language Movement hero Abdul Matin passed away Wednesday morning at BSMMU hospital in city. He was 88.
