RANGPUR: Two minors drowned in a pond in Arunnesa Balapara of Kutubpur union in Badarganj Upazila of the district on Saturday morning.

The deceased were identified as Lipi, 8, daughter of Liton Haque and Limon, 9, son of Shafiqul Islam.

Sources said that the victims went missing on Friday evening.

Later, locals recovered the bodies from the area on Saturday around 10:30am.

Kutubpur Union Parisad Chairman Chapul Saha confirmed the matter to banglanews.
