SYLHET: A law suit has been filed with the Shah Paran Thana on Friday night naming six and another 5/6 unnamed local terrors on charge of attacking banglanews24.com’s staff correspondent at Sylhet Abdullah Al Noman.

Abdullah Al Noman himself filed the law suit.

The case statement said supporters of Hiron Mahmud Nipu of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) MC College unit attacked Noman on Thursday (October 16) when he went to the campus of MC College for academic purposes.

They chopped Noman indiscriminately using hockey sticks, iron rods, belt and other lethal locally made sharp weapons in front of MC College auditorium around 1:15pm.

Later, a student, Anik, saved him from the attackers and took him to the MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital.

Officer-in-Charge of Shah Paran Thana confirmed the filing of the case to banglanews.

Injured Noman said recently banglanews published several reports on the supremacy of Chhatra League in MC College.

They might attack him for this reason, he guessed.
