Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh, Yao Wen, has assured that China is actively working on resolving the Teesta multipurpose project and remains optimistic about its resolution.

Speaking to reporters after meeting Foreign Affairs Adviser Md. Touhid Hossain at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Sunday (January 19), the ambassador emphasized the enduring friendship between Bangladesh and China, asserting that bilateral relations would not only continue as before but also deepen further.

Regarding the Teesta project, Yao Wen said that agreements proposed by Bangladesh would be honored and expressed confidence in finding a solution.
