DHAKA: A Visioning Session of the Diversity Plaza, that was created in 2011 to provide more green and community space in Jackson Heights in New York, has been arranged at PS 69 Cafeteria (77-02 37th Avenue), Jackson Heights from 2:00pm-4:00pm on Sunday (October 19).
Council Member Daniel Dromm, NYC DOT, DDC, Chhaya CDC, Friends of Diversity Plaza and Sukhi NY are jointly organizing the visioning session, says a press release.
The release said at the Visioning Session a design team will walk through a process that will help to define the physical design and uses that Diversity Plaza could be after it is further developed over the next few years.
Participants will have the opportunity to share their dreams for the Plaza through a proven community input process. Translations will be provided in Bangla, Spanish, Nepali and Tibetan on the day of the event.
Authorities of the plaza have requested people to attend the event and share their ideas and cover news of this important event.
The release also said if one can’t join, still one can share their ideas through an online survey.
People were requested to complete and submit the survey by October 19 as per instructions on the flyer.
