DHAKA: Yet another student was killed in road accident in the capital as a recklessly driven minibus rammed his bicycle in front of Motijheel ICD gate on Monday night.

The deceased, Rahatuzzaman, was a class-ten student of Postogola Bright High School in Shyampur.

His classmate Niaz Ahmed, who was with him on the bicycle, was injured seriously in the accident, police and witnesses said.   

“While returning to our Maniknagar residence by bicycle, a speeding minibus ran over us near the ICD gate of Motijheel at about 11:30 pm,” said the injured Niaz.

Local people sent both the schoolboys to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where the duty doctor declared Rahatuzzaman dead, the sources said.
