BSF detains BD national in Panchagarh

PANCHAGARH: India’s Border Security Force (BSF) personnel detained a Bangladeshi national from Banglabandha border area in Tetulia of the district on Sunday afternoon.

The detainee is driver Biplab, son of Dimalu Mohammad, resident of the area.

Locals said that BSF personnel held Biplob while he crossed the Jaygirzote frontier to carry stones in his trolley.

Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB-18) in Panchagarh, Captain Lieutenant Colonel Mohammad Ariful Haque, said, “We have talked to the BSF members to get the Bangladeshi national back.”

BSF assured to return the detainee shortly, he added.
