PANCHAGARH: Two motorcyclists were killed in a road accident in Goaldighi intersection under Atowari upazila of the district on Monday.

The deceased were identified as Polash, 27, son of Hemaj Uddin and Abdur Razzaq, 22, Joynul Haque, residents of the same upazila.

Police sources said a rashly-driven truck crushed into their motorbike in the area around 11:30am, leaving Polash dead on the spot and Razzaq injured critically.

The fatally injured Razzaq was rushed to Atowari Upazila Health Complex where on-duty doctor declared him dead.

On information, police seized the truck but its driver managed to flee scene immediately after the accident.

Atowari Thana Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mohammad Shah Alam confirmed the accident to banglanews.
