DHAKA: The prize giving ceremony of ‘DRU-Grameenphone Reporting Award 2014’ will be held at Pan Pacific Sonargaon hotel on Monday.

A press release, signed by DRU (Dhaka Reporters’ Unity) organizing secretary Mursalin Nomani, said the event will begin at 3:00pm in the day.

Information Minister Hasanul Haque Inu is expected to attend the function as chief guest while Dhaka University vice-chancellor Professor Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique as special guest.

This year, a total of 25 journalists, DRU members only, will be given the awards for their best reports published or telecast in print, electronic and online media between October 1, 2013 and September 28, 2014.

Three journalists will get Tk 100,000 with a crest each for the best reports while rest 22 awardees will get Tk 75,000 each.
