JESSORE: Six people, including Public Works Department (PWD) officials, were injured as their vehicle was knocked down by a passenger bus at Shantala-Binodia intersection on Jessore-Jhenidah highway in the district on Saturday afternoon.

Three of the injured were identified as the officials of Jhenidah PWD.

Police sources said that a rashly driven passenger bus hit a PWD jeep in the area around 4:00pm, leaving them injured critically.

However, the injured were rushed to Jessore General Hospital.

Jessore Kotwali Thana Officer-in-Charge (OC) Inamul Haque confirmed the matter to banglanews.
