DHAKA: HT Imam, political adviser to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, claimed that his recent remark over recruitment of Chhatra League men in government job has been distorted.

He was addressing journalists in a press meeting at Awami League president’s Dhanmondi political office.

HT Imam said the meritorious students will rather come to government jobs.

He added, “I have told Chhatra League leaders and activists for studying hard. They would get jobs if they pass in the written tests. I also asked them to attend coaching centres and also to study forming study-groups.”

He further said those who had got appointment in the past are meritorious.

Imam also asked journalists to check whether the appointees were considered by their political background.
