SUNAMGANJ: Indian Border Security Forces (BSF) returned five Bangladeshi nationals after they were picked up from Lalghat border in Tahirpur upazila of the district on Wednesday.

The five Bangladeshis are Shahidullah, 34, son of Abdur Rahim, Aminul Islam, 35, son of Anu Uddin, Ritan Mia, 28, son of Riaz Uddin, Din Islam, 32, son of Abdur Rashid and Shahid Mia, 26, son of Hadis Miah of the village.

They were handed over to the members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) after a flag meeting around 6:30pm.

BGB sources said BSF picked them up while they were gathering firewood in the area around 2:15pm.

Habildar Rena Mia of Sunamganj-8 BGB confirmed the matter.
