DHAKA: Police recovered a body of an 8-year old boy from a water tank in city’s Dakkhin Khan area on Monday after three days of his missing.

The victim was identified as Farhad, son of Abdur Rashid Sarder, of the area.

Sub-Inspector (SI) Aziz and also Duty Officer of Dakkhin Khan Thana said police recovered the decomposed body of Farhad which injury marks were found.

However, the victim’s father filed an unnatural death case in this regard.

Operation Officer of the thana Akhter told banglanews that the body was sent to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) for autopsy.

The cause of the death will be known after autopsy, he added.
